Average Daily Balance Method


   Under the average daily balance method, a periodic rate is applied to the average daily balance in the account for the period. The average daily balance is determined by adding the full amount of principle in the account each day of the period and dividing that figure by the number of days in the period.

Periodic rate = (nominal rate/365) x days in period

Daily Balance Method



  A periodic rate is applied to the account balance each day providing the account balance is greater than the minimum.

Periodic rate = (nominal rate/365) x days in period

Balance Of Account



  
The dividend is calculated on the balance quarterly and credited quarterly. Once a CD is set up, no additional funds can be added.
